Columbia Gadget Works was established in 2010 and has been building projects and experience ever since. We've grown from a group that met on random weeknights in our member's homes into a full blown hackerspace. Our shop, located just north of downtown in a building managed by Creative Spaces LLC, is where our members now regularly meet and build.
We have members interested in woodworking, robotics, rapid prototyping, electronics, CNC machining, amateur radio, software development, sewing, model making, painting, and anything in between. If you need advice a project, you'll find someone to talk to here. Our shop has tools to help you in any area of your build, and our members are happy to share tips and tricks on how to use them.

There are many ways to get involved with Columbia Gadget Works:
- Join the discussion on our Google Group or official Discord server.
- See what we're up to lately on our Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
- Find out about upcoming events on the Meetup page or on our Calendar.
The best place to learn more about our group is at one of our weekly Open Hack Nights. Every Thursday at 6:00pm, we open our doors to the public and try to get our weekly dose of social interaction. Members will work on projects, show off projects, ask questions, or just hang out with fellow makers and hackers. These are excellent opportunities for you to meet us, ask questions, and get a quick tour of our space.
