Progress:

3/2/2017:

    Discovered that the CNC machines are designed to communicate through a controller card which we dont have. began working on making an adapter cable to hopefully work.

3/2/2017:

    Set up Debian and LinuxCNC on a computer at the space, attempted to communicate with machine (failed). Connected power and tested spindle manually, seems to be working.

3/9/2017

    Started pinout, begun using oscilloscope to identify signals on pins.

TODO:

-Make adapter cable

-Config in Linux CNC

-Clean ways and oil

-Fix door switch

-clean rust
