Release of liability, assumption of risk and indemnity agreement

Columbia Gadget Works (“CGW”) is a nonprofit community makerspace at 1404 Grand Ave, Columbia, Missouri. In exchange for being allowed to enter the shop, use its tools, equipment and materials, and take part in its trainings, classes and events (together, “the activities”), I agree as follows.

The activities are dangerous. I understand that the shop contains power tools, hand tools, machines, lasers, heat, sharp edges, chemicals, fumes, dust, electricity and moving parts, and that the activities can cause serious injury, illness, permanent disability, death, and damage to property. Some risks cannot be removed without changing what a workshop is. Other people in the shop may make mistakes that affect me.

Membership agreement

By becoming a member of Columbia Gadget Works (“CGW”) I agree to the following, in addition to the liability waiver, which I have also signed.

Membership and dues. My membership runs month to month while my dues are paid. Dues are billed through Givebutter at the level I chose, and I can cancel at any time; cancelling ends my membership at the end of the period already paid. Dues are not refunded for partial months, and are not tax-deductible to the extent I receive access in return. If my dues stop, my access and storage end after the grace period CGW tells me about.
